Samsung files trademark for words

Samsung seems to be on a spree for registering various words and names these days. The company has filed for various trademarks in the last month itself. The company which has been in mobile and various other technology products is looking at expanding its horizon to various dimensions.

Samsung has filed for six trademarks which includes one logo and five words. One of the trademarks which have been filed by Samsung is “Plot”. The word has been filed with reference to hardware and software services. Among other trademarks which have been filed by the company include “Diffuser”, “Citron”, “DTOC”, “App Connect” and a logo for the new ultra HD television by the company.

The words have been filed under the class 9 of the goods and services trademark classifications.  These words have not been registered by the company earlier with the only exemption of “App Connect”. The move could hint at new products being launched by the company. The description of these words and what they will cover indicates that Samsung might be panning to launch e-books related technology product in the near future.

Samsung has also registered trademark for three names with the USPTO. The registering has been done under the name of “Galaxy S Fitness”, “Galaxy Adore”, “Galaxy V:” with all trademarks containing the word Galaxy in it.

These various words which have been registered by Samsung are indicative of various products. “Galaxy S Fitness” seems like a wearable technology product by the company. The other trademark named Adore has left many wondering the nature of product that will be launched by the company.

Interestingly, Samsung has registered colon along with the name “Galaxy V:” The registration indicates that the company might be planning to launch a new product line to the existing line-up.

So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Samsung goes on product launch spree in the coming future.
