Strand Arcade uses fairytale for fashion

Shopping centre The Strand Arcade in Sydney has launched a fairytale-inspired campaign to launch the Autumn/Winter fashion season.

Created by PDC Creative, the campaign will comprise of print ads in fashion magazines Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and Sydney Magazine. It will also feature throughout the shopping centre.

As in previous campaigns for the brand, the “A Fashion Fairytale” execution draws its inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass” and reinforces The Strand’s high fashion positioning. The campaign set includes quirky elements such as live mud crabs and the model has been made to look disheveled to reinforce the theme.

Taryn McGurk, group marketing manager at Ipoh Management Services, said: “The Strand Arcade’s new season campaign by PDC Creative reinforces our platform as the home of Australian fashion. The striking imagery showcases our leading designers’ latest creations; from couture through to ready-to-wear and accessories.
